Top Questions
Which payment options do you offer?
— For immediate order placement, we accept all major credit cards and PayPal.
— Net (15, 30, 45, 60) accounts are available to qualifying companies after their application has been approved and processed.
— To apply for a Net 30 account, please fill out our Application Form and return it to us via email.
Wie werden die Platten transportiert und welcher Spediteur wird dafür verwendet?
— Normally, we ship our boards using DHL, FedEx, UPS, and TNT with Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU) terms. However, we can also accommodate other shipment terms as requested by customers, such as Free On Board (FOB) Hong Kong.
Do you comply with the RoHS directive?
— Yes, our factory is fully compliant with the RoHS Directive.
— RoHS stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances. It is a European legislation that prohibits the use of six hazardous substances in manufacturing processes: cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg), hexavalent chromium (Cr (VI)), polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), and lead (Pb).
What's your E-test policy?
— We have a strict E-test policy in place for every board we produce. This comprehensive testing process is carried out to identify and eliminate any potential shorts, ensuring the functionality of the boards.
Does it matter if the PCB is panelized?
— Yes, it does matter. Individually routed boards usually require fixtures and undergo processes that are slower compared to panelized boards arranged in an array.
— When requesting a quote, especially if the PCB design is consigned, it is crucial to include this information. This allows us to provide an accurate quote that reflects the specific requirements and pricing considerations.
What's the shelf life of the boards? Do different surface finishes (such as HASL, OSP, ENIG, etc.) have different expiration dates?
— The shelf life of PCBs is determined based on their surface finishes. According to IPC standards, the shelf life of PCBs is as follows:
- HASL (Hot Air Solder Leveling)-12 months
- Lead-free HASL-12 months
- ENIG (Electroless Nickel Immersion Gold)-12 months
- ENEPIG (Electroless Nickel Electroless Palladium Immersion Gold)-12 months
- Immersion Silver-6 months
- Immersion Tin-6 months
-
OSP (Organic Solderability Preservatives)-6 months
Why are most circuit boards green in color?
— The predominant green color of circuit boards is due to the solder mask. The solder mask is a protective layer that is applied over the copper circuits printed on the fiberglass core. It serves to prevent short circuits, soldering errors, and other issues. The green color of the solder mask is commonly used, giving the circuit board its characteristic appearance.
What file formates are accepted for bare board PCB fabrication?
— We prefer Gerber formats RS274X and RS274D. The RS274D format requires a separate aperture list for each file.
— We may also accept design files in ODB++ and DWG formats.
What is FR4 in PCB?
— FR4 is a widely used material in PCB manufacturing. It refers to a type of fiberglass-reinforced epoxy laminate that is commonly used as the base material for printed circuit boards. FR4 is known for its excellent electrical insulation properties, mechanical strength, and flame resistance. It is versatile and can be used to produce both single-layer and multilayer PCBs. FR4 is suitable for various applications and can be used to create both flexible and rigid PCBs.
Is it possible to obtain stack-up drawing from you?
